GAME 1: OXFORD HOOPS U14 vs READING ROCKETS
First game of thh season for both teams, for many players the first time the play an actual National League game. Where the pace is so much faster than usual Central Venue games. Where Full Court pressure is the norm, where nerves of steel are needed.
Oxford HOOPS Coaching team has been working very hard with the U14 squad and we feel the guys are ready to face their first challenge. Only time will tell if we are ready!

HORNETS are ranked 5 with a 2-0 Win-Loss record. They average 64.5 ppg and allow only 44 ppg. Bucks are coming from a 56-31 win over North Herts Knights. HORNETS have always been a great challenge for all Oxford teams and they will without doubt put our boys to the test.

Oxford HOOPS U16 are in 9th Place with a 0-2 Win-Loss record, they average 50 ppg and are allowing 82 ppg so far.They have just come off a loss vs Cobras, where they just lost concentration in teh last quarter allowing Cobras to take the win with relative ease. There were a number of positive factors in that game, turnovers were down dramatically, they were able to break the press consistently, the Zone D was solid and help D was much improved. Let’s see what they can bring this Saturday. Everybody is healthy and we are all looking forward to find out who will be selected to represent Oxford HOOPS.

Pre-Game Comment:
If OXFORD is able to keep those turnovers down, lock down defensively and run their sets as well as break systematically, we may witness the first upset of the Season. HORNETS have not been tested as yet, HOOPS will find their weaknesses and exploit them for sure.
